Sincere Gentlemen Story

You might wonder where did the concept for Sincere Gentlemen start? How did five men from Queens, New York arrive to this place in time? The journey is a story in itself. Let’s begin…

These five guys became close friends, childhood friends to be exact, that remained in contact over the years. Their friendship by definition is more like a brotherhood. They grew up in the same “hood”, South Jamaica, Queens. They experienced growing pains together and confronted challenges as one.

At an early age, they recognized that while they were from Queens, they didn’t have to settle for the “Queens Lifestyle”. They made a pack to use their various talents to elevate their lifestyles to new heights. They formed a business to achieve this goal called “4 Realms of Life”. 4 Realms of Life sold t-shirts and CDs. As a group, the young men soon came to realize there was more to running a business than opening up shop. After a failed attempt to make the business profitable, they decided to cut their losses and move onto the next venture.

At this point the question was, what would they do next? The answer was not apparent to them. Then, one day while sitting around playing dominos, the answer hit them square in the face. They were meeting up every Friday night to talk about life and the conversations were funny, powerful and insightful. They came up with the idea to tape one of their discussion and before they knew it, they already had a pilot, ready for the Internet. What they did every Friday night could be used as a vessel to express themselves and help others deal with life’s walk.

Sincere Gentlemen’s mission is to create engaging dialogue on bold topics. Their goal is to ignite national conversation and healthy debate over various topics. In turn, Sincere Gentlemen believes this will build stronger communities through stronger relationships. Their pledge is to “tell the truth, no matter what!”

When asked about his career with SGM, Deck states that he only wants to take care of his family. There is something to be said about his response, his focus. Is there a soft-side to Dec after all?
